Greetings!
In 1908, Alpha Kappa Alpha paved the way for substantial change in history through sisterhood, scholarship and service to all mankind.
It is my distinct pleasure as President of the Iota Lambda Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated to welcome you to our new Web site. Please use this Web site to inquire about the chapter’s program initiatives and subsequent partnerships, not only at the University of Florida, but the surrounding Gainesville community.
The Iota Lambda chapter was chartered on May 17, 1975 by the 25 Pearls of Distinction. Our chapter’s principle focus is uplifting the community through service, philanthropic efforts and scholarly deeds. By effectively implementing Alpha Kappa Alpha’s Heart of ESP: An Extraordinary Service Program for Economic Success, our chapter will continue the legacy of societal enrichment. We enhance the world in which we live by efficiently programming for the Five Platforms of Non-Traditional Entrepreneur, Economic Keys to Success, Economic Growth of the Black Family, Economic Educational Advancement through Technology, and Health Resource Management and Economics.
As our beloved Sorority celebrates 101 years, it is Iota Lambda’s charge to uphold the legacy set before us. Our chapter prides itself on campus leadership and maintaining an integral contribution in the surrounding Gainesville community.
Thank you again for taking the time to explore our Web site. Our chapter appreciates your overwhelming support of events, fund raisers and special programs. Please be sure to check the site for updated information!
Sincerely,
Sakira Hadley, President
Iota Lambda Chapter
